What a way to end two great days at The HUB HK! With drinks, snacks and a buzzing environment full of creative people at the Flying Zacchinis @ PMQ, no one, least of all us, could bear to bid farewell to The HUB until the very last minute. With such an impressive backdrop, it was with no wonder that we met more intriguing designers and brands over the ever-so-quickly disappearing bowls of snacks (courtesy to Vanessa!)

We've got to say - what better way to show off the various talents and spectacular collections we saw at the Hub HK than a photo diary? A literal hub for designers and premium brands, the HUB is a master at incorporating exhibitions, workshops and showrooms into a single event. Throughout our visit, we had a truly wonderful time visiting different designers & brands and getting to know the creative concept behind their collections. And the best part? That was just day one.

In Celebration

It’s an occasion for a celebration - RunwayProtagonist is celebrating its first birth(month)! Thanks to all of you, our blog is alive and kicking, and with ecstatic jubilation, we are excited to announce our first fashion video - produced in cooperation with our friend, Christopher Sin. Think new season campaign, think indie music, think clothes, clothes and clothes! 


This video is a lookbook of new outfit ideas, new clothes, a whole new outlook - and if you've got a good eye, you might just even spot bits and pieces of our wardrobe from previous posts as well! This time, we're showcasing our outfit ensemble for the autumn/ winter season. Jungle Floral

Who said boys and flowers don't go well together? Step up your summer game by spicing up the heat with a floral bomber jacket. With an exotic bloom print of red, blue and white, contrast the colours with some simple basics and a pair of comfy sandals.

TOPSHOP @ Times Square Causeway Bay

Yesterday, we attended the opening of Topshop's third branch in Times Square, Causeway Bay, and needless to say, we knocked ourselves out with complimentary gourmet popcorn from SOTE, hip music from the DJ and quirky photo-booth sessions. (Check out our Instagram to see just how quirky we looked!)

They have an amazing collection, with exclusive pieces only available at this store. Topshop showed us immense hospitality, touring us around the shop, and we were absolutely thrilled when they lent us their styling room, where we spent a lovely hour trying on all the pieces that caught our eye. Buzz is currently entering the coat-obsessed phase of his life, and showed no qualms (We may be in Topshop, not Topman, but then again, fashion knows no limits, right?) as he picked even more clothes than Vanessa to try on. We had such a blast that even the usually camera-shy Vanessa couldn't resist posing for a photo or two. 

We hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as we enjoyed visiting Topshop yesterday!

Monotone Hearts

We're in love. Remember our Urban Nights photo-shoot from some while ago? Well, we got photoshop happy with some of our favourites from the shoot and went a little monochrome with them. The end result was a bunch of anachronic vintage photos that we're secretly (or not so secretly) loving. And we've got to be honest: we're simply head-over-heels for this hearts-print shirt.

Recently, we paid a visit to Gold by Harlan Goldstein, (sounds unfamiliar? Follow us on Instagram to stay up to date J) and we've got to admit: the interior design blew us away. The dining room was a true testament to Goldstein's "gold" - dim lights on wavy wooden structures created a sensation of molten gold, while reflective panes conjured images of floating golden hues. Rest assured that we had our tummies filled to the brim, for even the ever-hungry Vanessa almost knocked herself out with the semi-buffet lunch.

Checkered Simplicity

Go for a simple, laid-back look by coupling everyday basics with something a little bit more special. A classic blue and white combo accentuated with these checkered trainers will make any kind of situation look effortless but chic.

Deciding what to wear for the day is always a most enjoyable but troubling decision. With the scorching summer heat threatening to bake anyone who braves a jacket, staying simple is always the best fallback for a casual outfit plus just the right amount of spice. Keeping things uncomplicated with bare basics brings attention to those small but eye-catching accessories, may they be a watch, shoes or a new pair of sunglasses. Unwilling to let the day go by without a spot of surprises, Buzz paired his current summer-time favourite yellow reflective shades with yet another favourite - his checkered sneakers.
